

It constitutes the second half of author Douglas Adams' original radio story due taking a legendarily long time to finish his manuscripts, he couldn't fit the whole thing into one book and his publishers told him to just give them what he had and that they'd publish the rest separately later. The Restaurant at the End of the Universe (published in 1980) is the second book in the increasingly inaccurately-named The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.


There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.
